"Hugo" Scorcese & Speilberg

I just watched the film "HUGO" the other day and it may made think about director Martin Scorcese. I thought that the visuals were very attractive to the eye to the point that I realized that this was a really high end film which (to me at least) never seemed like his style.

And in 3D!

Generationally speaking, This seemed like a film that Spielberg would take on. This got me thinking what other type of "High End" films that Spielberg has done that would be interesting.
I know these are not two directors people might compare (it was usually Spielberg and Lucas as the two are best of friends whom often helped each other).

Could Scorcese have done films "Jurassic Park, "Saving Private Ryan" or "Minority Report". What would HIS vision have been?
Wow What would his casting have been?

I'm sure Spielberg could pull off Scorcese's more recent commercial films, ("The Aviator","Shutter Island" and of course "Hugo"). But could he pull off "Good Fellas", "Casino" or "The Color of Money"?

In closing, while contemplating writing this, it made be think about the "70s Generation"  and how four very influential filmmakers (Coppola,  Scorcese, Spielberg, and Lucas), ("The Godfather", "Taxi Driver", "Jaws" and of course "Star Wars") inspired the current generation of directors.
