How Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson can sustain...

I've been a fan of "The Rock" since his wrestling days and I was excited that he decided to retire from that business early, save his body from future damage and become a film star. Although after "The Rundown" we all expected that he would become the new "Arnold" but the way the Hollywood machine created shitty vehicles, he decided to go another direction (ala Eddie Murphy) and cater to the family film genre which has proved lucrative for his career. I also admire how he does not mind taking a backseat and take a co-starring role in return for creating a memorable character as he did when he stole the spotlight form Travolta in "". Most recently, I was excited to read that he would be playing a cop in "The Fast and Furious" franchise. Once again taking a back seat to the films' notable co stars, Diesel and Walker. I am a fan of this franchise and I keep my fingers crossed that this will be the biggest and best of them all and Johnson woild be the missing piece that would put this film over.

Two muscle men on the opposite sides of the law.... WHOOO!

Anyhow... I have often thought the Johnson would sustain a better more popular career if he went to television (a great show of course). A cool, slick vehicle like the lead in the now successful "Hawaii Five-0" would of course kick more ass than it's already doing. Or a possible remake of the show "Magnum P.I. or "Riptide" (imagine, Rock, Ice-Cube and Chris Rock as the computer whiz). Orrrrr flip that "Walking Tall" franchise back to TV. ANd he could still do films but become more picky where he could find the new "Die Hard" type of vehicle.
