My Faces of the coming Future

As a filmmaker I feel it's my job to keep an eye on most talent as it would be a delight to able to assist with the nurturing of their creativity through working with them in the future. I often create DVD reels of various actors that I've seen on film and television and a majority of them I've watched go on to the next level. And thus I thought I'd go public with and list some of my predictions for actors whom will be on the immediate rise within the next three years or less. Some are on the cusp of already taking off through past & future films (coming in 2010)and others you may not know but when they "Pop" I hope you remember where you've read it first.

1. Rashida Jones
Her career is quietly on the bubble and even more as she invests her talents in screenwriting and has actually two scripts in development thus solidifying her skill sets as a multi talent, especially if the screenplays become huge successes...

2. Taylor Lautner
(Yeah, the "Twilight" kid) Now I have yet to see either of those films but this one is my intuition as I watch the signs. While everyone is focused on the Pattinson kid whom I feel may go under after the vampire series is over within the next two more years.... Pattinson will choose to portray a some villainous characters in order to stretch which will be a bad move. But the artist formerly known as "Shark Boy" will flip the attention span within the next two to three years with some Rom Coms here and there and a possible tear jerker of the sorts

3. Colin Egglesfield
This also goes under the intuition file as the recently Tom Cruise look alike got fired from the television show "Melrose Place". He's got the acting chops to pull off a horror film hero (as my next two guys I mention below did)or a Harrison Ford (or another mature icon) sidekick in a cop or legal drama of some sorts... And the pattern often shows
often an actor that gets released from a show and then goes on to much higher success

4 & 5. Jensen Ackles & Jared Padalecki
The "Supernatural" brothers are in the final season of the show and thus its time to go onto the next level. Both have had success playing the hero roles in the horror genre ("Friday the 13th" & "My Bloody Valentine" remakes) but those were recognizable franchised films so. If I could direct the "Justice League" film, I'd cast him as Clark Kent/Superman (because the studios wouldn't be bright enough to keep Brandon Routh)and the lead actor from "Chuck" as Bruce Wayne/Batman character....

6. Alona Tal
Also from "Supernatural" and "Veronica Mars" fame, Tal is talented enough to be a lead on any television show. She has a Blake Lively flavor and may be a bit better especially if you're a fan of "Supernatural" where she played "Jo" matching up wits against Jensen Ackles and showing her kick ass side.

7. Chace Crawford
Once again, Intuition... Nuff said.

8. Jessica Lucas
Also on the new Melrose Place But she will always be my "Jessica Alba" killer... The two almost seem separated at birth but only one clearly has more talent. And I pissed off when she was dropped from CSI and replaced by some other actress who later was removed from the show.

9. Adrianne Palicki
Formerly of Friday Night Lights and soon to be seen in "Legion" (what seems to have a wicked trailer) and the "Red Dawn" remake. I took notice of her on the Pilot episode (of you guessed it)"Supernatural". She feels like an actress that's fearless reminding me of a Sally Field type. (the new Norma Rae).

10. Katie Cassidy
I almost did not put her down But I'd be denying her character "Ella", the sarcastic and manipulative publicist on "Melrose Place". She plays the character with a jolt of humor and feist. Yet again she came to my attention as Ruby on the show "Supernatural" but we've also seen her in smaller parts in "Taken", "When a Stranger Calls (remake). And she's another to be cast in the remake cycle for "A Nightmare on Elm Street". I'm realizing that these remakes are set-ups for television actors to cross over into feature films as a bigger character. I think she's could also pull off a very interesting "Selena Kyle/Catwoman"...

Okay that's it for now BUT I'm sure they're will be more to come...

Honorable Mentions:

- Megan Fox (give her some more time)
- Tristan Wilds
- Ed Westwick
- Jessica Szohr
- Samantha Ferris
- Rachel Nichols
- Tracie Thoms
