Will Lee be the first?‏

I have been hearing a sufficient amount of great praise
for the new Lee Daniels film entitled "Precious" (it was formerly called "Push" after the book's title but I guess after the comic book film "Push" was distributed this year and flopped seriously) He won all three
major awards at Sundance (And I've never heard of that happening.. If so, someone please feel free to correct me) Anyhow, Daniel's film took Cannes by storm where it got a standing ovation. It makes me wonder if he will be the first black director to receive an Oscar for the film. I have not seen the film but could he be the "one" to grasps the golden prize that the other "Lee" (Spike) has been pining for with his various "race" films... Hell even John Singleton was missed it by "THAT MUCH".. I guess time will only tell. The film has Ms. Winfrey along with Tyler Perry behind it and they are planning a November release (of course for the Oscar nod along with a few best actress nods as well) WTF??? If Mariah Carey get a nom. for this film ... HOLY COW!!! Then there is hope for Beyonce) Maybe I should go theatrical with "The Skeleptca Effect" in hopes for a nomination... crazier things have happened
